What percentage of your luxury buyers come from outside the Bay Area?
Roughly 25–35% of my luxury transactions now involve out-of-area buyers. Many come from San Francisco, Silicon Valley, or Los Angeles seeking value and livability.
The East Bay offers space, architecture, and community at a better lifestyle-to-price ratio. Remote work has amplified this migration—executives can now prioritize neighborhood charm over commute distance.
For these buyers, local guidance is everything. They need orientation on microclimates, school boundaries, and city nuances (Piedmont vs. Oakland permits, for example).
My marketing reflects that—neighborhood video tours, relocation guides, and private previews designed for remote engagement.
The luxury market is increasingly regional. Sellers who appeal to relocation buyers open themselves to the deepest pool of demand.
